New Hampshire: Countdown to the First In the Nation Primary


Iowans have spoken. Now it's New Hampshire's turn.

It's the country's first primary (because Iowa caucuses) and will be another critical factor in the race to the White House.
 
The race so far: To recap, in the Republican race, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz won Iowa, upsetting Donald Trump. But New Hampshire doesn't have nearly as many evangelical voters that Iowa does, making a repeat performance for Cruz not likely. 

Trump has held a wide lead in the polls, but Florida Sen. Marco Rubio hopes to improve on his better-than-expected finish in Iowa. The rest of the field is populated with governors — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — who are hoping for a breakout performance
